Story
Times
Storytelling sessions for preschoolers and toddlers
are scheduled throughout the fall and early spring.
Announcements are posted at the library with dates, times and age
levels. There is generally no registration required. Please call the
Children's Librarian for more information.
Summer Reading Program
The library sponsors a summer reading program each year. Weekly
activities are scheduled in June and July and include storytimes,
crafts, and special entertaining and educational programs. The
primary emphasis is the enjoyment of reading. Information on
registration and programs is available beginning in May.
Special Programming
Look to the library for seasonal programs -- Halloween stories, Christmas
music, and National Library Week fun. Visit the library to see our holiday book
displays.
Golden Sower
Count on the library to provide your child with those materials
selected annually by Nebraskans for the Golden Sower competitions.
Lists are available in September.
Junior Friends of the Bellevue Public Library
If you are in grades 6-12, join our Junior Friends and volunteer to keep the
children's area neat, participate in programs and parades, and just enjoy
reading and talking about reading.
The Junior Friends are funded by the Bellevue Library Foundation.
Craft Programs
Come
& Go Crafts sessions are held seasonally throughout the school year.
Preschoolers and school-age children are welcome to visit the library for this
event, which is free and requires no registration. Announcements are
posted at the library with dates and times.
Babysitting Clinics
Babysitting Clinics are sponsored by the American Red Cross. Classes
are taught at various times during the year by a certified instructor.
Each session has limited enrollment. There is a fee. Please call the Red
Cross at 343-7730 for more information and to register. The library will
not handle registration for this program.
