Youth Programs and Services
All programs are free of charge and participation does not require a library card.
The Children's Department offers a wide range of ongoing and special programming for children ages infant to about sixth grade, including the annual Summer Reading Program. The Children's Department participates in the Golden Sower Program each year. In addition to several storytelling opportunities, seasonal craft days, special puppet programs, and a Junior Friends Program are offered.
A variety of programs and services are offered to teens (ages approximately seventh through 12th grade) on a monthly basis. Reading programs for teens are held in the summer and in the winter.
The Bellevue Public Library is happy to now offer teens their own space in the library, including special seating areas and displays. The Young Adult Department participates in the Golden Sower program each year.
