Month of April

Monday, April 4
v The 2016 Adult Reading Program begins today with registration starting at 9 a.m. The ARP will run through Saturday, May 14, and adults can register throughout the six-week program.
Saturday, April 23
v LEGO® Club program for children, 10 to 11 a.m. at the library.
v ARP Event: "Bocce Ball Demonstration" presented by Big O Bocce Ball, 10 a.m. at the library.
Tuesday, April 26
v Storytelling Club, 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at the library. 
Wednesday, April 27
v Storytime 4 NiƱos, 10 a.m. at the library. 
v ARP Event: "Midday Music" concert featuring harpist Amanda Fehlner, 12 Noon at the library. This brown bag event is open and FREE to all ages. Bring your lunch and enjoy the music. Cookies and coffee will be provided.
Thursday, April 28
v ARP Event: "Dash for the Stash" personal investment event, "Understanding Financial Planning, featuring Lauren DeGroot, 6:30 p.m. at the library.
Saturday, April 30
v ARP Event: Family Movie Event at the library, featuring "Inside Out" and "Goosebumps." The first movie will start at 10 a.m. with the second movie beginning around 12 Noon.

Month of May

Sunday, May 1
v A special Random Fandom event for young adults will be held at the library from 2:30 to 5 p.m. with a presentation of "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" as a pre-event to the May 6th release of the new Captain America movie. There will be pizza (a limited supply) and other snacks, as well as Captain-y crafts and more.
v OG: A Stuffed Animal Hospital will run from May 1 through May 31 as a fund-raiser for the library. Staff and volunteers will be making basic repairs to children's stuffed toys for $1.00.
Monday, May 2
v ARP Event: Mandala Meditations adult coloring program, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday, May 3
v Readers Club book club, 7 p.m. at the library. This month's selection is Girls of Atomic City by Denise Kiernan.
Thursday, May 5
v ARP Event: "Ballroom Dancing" presented by library staffer Laura McDonald, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Friday, May 6
v A Gamefest for young adults will be held on Friday, May 6, from 3 to 6 p.m.
Saturday, May 7
v ARP Event: Book Brunch book discussion program for adults, starting at 10 a.m. Share books that you've been reading and enjoy a light brunch.
Thursday, May 12
v ARP Event: Introduction to American Mahjong, starting at 2 p.m.
Friday, May 13
v Senior Center Book Club, 10 a.m. at the Bellevue Senior Center, 109 W. 22nd Ave. This month's selection is The Spire by Richard North Patterson.
Saturday, May 14
v ARP Event: AuthorFest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the library. This event showcases local authors. There will be time to visit with the authors as well as panel discussions.
v The Adult Reading Program concludes today. All prize drawing slips need to be turned in by 5 p.m.
Tuesday, May 17
v Tuesday Night Book Club, 5:45 p.m. at the library. This month's selection is I Shall Be Near to You by Erin Lindsay McCabe.
Thursday, May 19
v Thursday Afternoon Book Club, 3 p.m. at the library. This month's selection is The River of Doubt by Candice Millard.
Tuesday, May 24
v Young Adult volunteer (Bellya) training session*, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the library (*Registration required).
Wednesday, May 25
v OG: A Stuffed Animal Hospital special "behind the scenes" fund-raiser event will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. "Doctors" will be making repairs on the premises and will be available to answer questions. Repairs for the Stuffed Animal Hospital will be $1.00 per "hospital" visit.
v OG: I Y My Library Karaoke, for young adults 3 to 5 p.m. at the library.
Friday, May 27
