Reference Services

The library maintains an extensive print and electronic reference collection for the student, business person and all who seek knowledge.  Many atlases, dictionaries, directories and encyclopedias are in this collection as well as books on literary criticism, current biographies, investments and more.

E-Mail Your Reference Question

You can e-mail your questions to a reference librarian at Bellevue Public Library by sending your question to the following e-mail address: refrequest@bellevue.net.  Questions should be of a nature that require a factual or short response.  You can also phone in your reference questions at (402) 293-3157 during library hours.

Please include in your request:

  • Your name
  • Your library barcode number if you are a BPL patron
  • Your question
  • Date after which you no longer need the information
  • Two of the following: e-mail address, phone number, FAX number
  • Your mailing address
